How it works
Every day at midnight Eastern you get five questions about real numbers — how many people live somewhere, what something costs, how many copies a game sold. You type an estimate and find out instantly how close you were.
Scoring is based on how many times off you are, not how many units. Being 10% off a population of 8 million and 10% off a price of $40 score exactly the same, so small numbers and enormous ones are judged fairly. A perfect answer is 1,000 points; a 10% miss is 800; being 10× out is close to zero.
